My Favourite Game - John Winter

My Favourite Game brings together the whole Hampshire Cricket community, with original contributions from current and former Hampshire cricketers, coaches, commentators and supporters.

Contributors include Barry Richards, Liam Dawson, Trevor Jesty, Joe Weatherley, Kevin Emery, Mark Nicholas, Adi Birrell, Richard Gilliat, David Gower, Brian Timms, Kevan James and Giles White, as well as numerous Hampshire supporters.

The final selection of 75 games, spread across eight decades, features all other seventeen first-class counties, as well as nearlv all the international touring sides. All the Hampshire home grounds - Northlands Road, United Services Ground, the Rose Bowl, Newclose, Dean Park and May's Bounty - are featured, together with the major English test grounds, plus a few less likely venues, such as Middlesbrough and the Huntley and Palmers ground in Reading. All the matches are ones that current or former players took part in, or supporters watched live at the time.
